Its name is Portuguese for “Star of Fura,” nodding to its status as the gem firm’s prize discovery.
Described by Sothebys as “exceedingly rare” and highly “valuable and important,” the “Estrela de Fura” was discovered in Mozambique by Canadian firm Fura Gems.
